Best Wines Online partners Kyle Meyer and Tristen Beamon have merged the recently acquired Wine Exchange and their Best Wines Online, creating a new Wine Exchange and a re-designed website, Winex.com.
The website looks and feels like the former Best Wines Online website, but there is a revamped, more approachable look with an improved web checkout. A new logo has been created, which features a bottle sketch with “established in 1982” in notation, referring to the year that Wine Exchange (initially the Liquor Exchange but changed several years later) opened in Orange.
The Wine Exchange at 1544 E. Warner Ave. in Santa Ana is open daily. I find this warehouse-styled store to be extremely well stocked with a wide selection of domestic and international wines that are fairly priced, and have easily visible signage. You might call for directions, as the store, which is adjacent to the southbound 55 Freeway, is a bit tricky to locate.
In celebration of the new Wine Exchange, Beamon and Meyer are putting on a Tasting Alley party and community fundraiser May 2 at the store, featuring great wines, food, and music.
Wine Exchange has also added a new date to its always sold-out Wine + Food dinner series on May 7, which will spotlight the legendary Gran Reserva Rioja Spanish wines from Bodegas Faustino at Scott’s Restaurant in Costa Mesa. Call 1-800-76-WINEX for details.
