Most wine enthusiasts are familiar with Justin Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, which dates to 1981. The winery is best known for its cabernet sauvignon and Isoceles, a Bordeaux-styled red varietal blend. Over the years, Justin has expanded its portfolio to include this recommended sauvignon blanc.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards throughout the Paso Robles AVA. The 2014 vintage benefited from a climate that was warm and dry, perfect conditions for sauvignon blanc in the Central Coast.
The wine is whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks, with no malolactic fermentation to retain fresh fruit aromas and flavors.
This light golden yellow-colored wine pulls you into the glass with fresh aromas of grapefruit, peach, and green apple, along with a subtle note of grassiness—the signature of sauvignon blanc. On entry, crisp flavors of lemon, green apple, dried herbs, vanilla, and candy corn lead to a finish that’s clean and slightly tart, with palate-cleansing acidity.
