Tilly’s Life Center

According to the Center for Disease Control, the top 3 causes of death in the United States for 15-24 year-olds are unintentional injury, suicide and homicide. Additionally, one in five children suffer from a metal health condition and teen suicide rates are the highest they’ve been since recording began in the 1960s. With your help, we can stop this epidemic and save our youth.

Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) equips teens with life skills and coping techniques in an effort to combat the staggering rates of suicide, anxiety, depression, bullying, school violence, substance abuse and addiction. Our curriculum reintroduces core values in an effort to redirect overall poor decision making and a lack of purpose. TLC’s social emotional learning courses build confidence, inspire compassion, teach coping mechanisms and encourage students to set goals, continue their education, build a successful future and pursue their dreams. Our classes, currently in 16 high schools, one university and 11 other partner organizations throughout Southern California, use experiential learning, journal writing, open discussions, and activities to promote self-discovery and cover relevant topics in a positive, safe and caring environment.

Our mission is to inspire today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, kind, happy, and responsible individuals.

Through the generous support of our local community and businesses, Tilly’s Life Center is able to expand our program to teens throughout Southern California. Founded in 2012, TLC has served more than 6,300 students and will reach over 2,000 students this year alone. TLC takes a preventative and proactive approach, teaching essential skills that help youth understand and deal with their thoughts, emotions, mood and behavior in an effort to address warning signs long before a potential crisis ensues.
