Rooms We Love

For interior designer Jesse DeSanti of Jette Creative, the most interesting aspect of the room she designed for a San Clemente family was its unexpected use. Sitting right off the kitchen, the room normally would be designated a dining room, but her clients sought more seating for entertaining. “Everything was sourced from all over, and the room feels eclectic without being overwhelming,” DeSanti says of the final space. As for where the family dines, the designer says, “There is a large dining table outside. It’s Southern California. … We can afford to do that.”

2. Good Bones | The designer’s favorite elements of the room are its preexisting exposed joists, steel doors, and board-formed concrete fireplace.

3. Seating | The teal lounge chairs were sourced from online antique marketplace 1stdibs. The cream settee is vintage.

4. Coffee table | A teak tree root table from Jayson Home adds a natural and sculptural presence to the room.

5. Rug | “The rug is from a company that I originally found on Etsy called Atlas Weavers. They now operate their own site,” DeSanti says.
