With the addition of not one, but two new training spaces, Fashion Island is truly becoming the lifestyle center of Orange County. The new SoulCycle spinning studio opens tomorrow, but today, the new Nike Women’s store relaunched.
The existing Nike store has been transformed into a women-only shop featuring some of the higher-end Nike collections (like the $495 Destroyer Butterfly jacket, pictured) and designer collabs previously only available online or in Europe. But the buzziest part about the redesigned store is the new studio space in back, a dedicated Nike Training Center (NTC). We checked out the first-ever workout in the first studio in a Nike store in North America (Berlin beat us worldwide). The airy, gorgeous space features floor-to-ceiling windows and mirrors, wood flooring and bright industrial finishes, including lockers.
Today’s pilates-yoga hybrid workout was led by master trainer Joselynne Boschen from Alpha Venice and featured Olympic bronze-medal-winning figure skater Gracie Gold.
The plan is to bring in local experts and trainers for open gyms, training sessions, yoga, and run club, all built around the Nike+ NTC app. And all for free. You can check out the schedule and sign up for classes at gonike.me/orangecounty
The current training schedule:
Monday, 6:37 p.m.: Nike Training Club
Thursdays, 6:37 p.m.: Yoga
Saturdays, 9:04 a.m.: Nike+ Run Club
We’re excited to see how the NTC OC shapes up—and shapes up its customers!
