Tuesdays aren’t just for tacos. When you’re itching for something a little more, um, oui, up the ante with Tuesday (and Thursday) nights at the new Moulin Bistro in Newport Beach.
At 7 on Tuesday nights, diners are guests at a three-course Chef’s Dinner for $25 (reservations required), which changes weekly. Mains might include duck confit, or their soon-to-be-famous roast chicken.
From 6 to 8 on Thursdays, stop by for “Tous au Bistro,” the French version of happy hour. Moulin’s owner Laurent Vrignaud describes it as a time to decompress, share stories, and unwind before heading home. Tous au Bistro includes a glass of wine, and a range of French cheese, charcuterie, and fresh-baked breads around the communal table. Cost is $25 (no reservations required).
“I’m hoping to bring more of a communal element to the occasion,” says Vrignaud. “When you come to Tous au Bistro regularly, you will start to see the same faces over and over. That’s how new friendships are built.” And that’s what Moulin Bistro is all about, he adds.
