Lemon and Main, a Yorba Linda-based jewelry pop-up open through February, showcases West Coast-based female designers including Newport Beach’s Rope the Moon. “I wanted an eclectic mix of jewelry so that we could have a little bit of everything,” says owner and former Yorba Linda resident Leah Miller. “I was looking for designers who had more modern and simple, everyday-wear pieces and also designers who had more statement or uniquely crafted pieces.”
Standing out on Main Street with its black awning, brick lining, and white, modern lettering, Lemon and Main currently carries 10 designers, all offering handmade jewelry, and plans on adding more. “I’ve always had a passion for supporting small businesses and people who dedicate their skills to creating art and sharing it with the world,” Miller says.
Lemon and Main takes an elevated approach and displays the jewelry in glass cases. With stylish furniture such as a bamboo coffee table, a round, gold-rimmed mirror, and a cowhide rug, Miller has transformed the space, once home to a traditional but timeworn jewelry store. “I feel like most places that come (to Yorba Linda) are either chains or are behind the times, so this is something unique, not just to the city, but in general.”
