Fullerton Trains, Planes, and Automobiles in the Spotlight

Carson Entertainment Group President Jeffrey Sotzing, whom writer Pat H. Broeske profiled in the story “Johnny’s Palace Guard,” is a pilot, aviation buff, and admirer of the Fullerton Municipal Airport. The airport is one of the city’s transportation hubs taking part in Trains, Planes and Automobiles on three successive weekends in May. It all begins Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, at the Fullerton Train Station with Railroad Days 2015. There will be tours of locomotives, cabooses, and other equipment, plus model trains and a scenic garden railway. Admission is free. Fullerton Train Station, 120 E. Santa Fe Ave., scrpa.net

For Airport Day 2015, the Fullerton Municipal Airport will have an open house with vintage and modern aircraft displayed on Saturday, May 9. It will have fly-bys and aviation-related exhibits, plus some classic cars to ogle. A donation will get you a ride on an airplane or helicopter, but general admission and parking are free.
