Starting March 30, there’s a new dining experience at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We got a sneak peek at the upscale three-course brunch event. Here are our favorite bits and bites:
1 The Atmosphere
Everything is elevated at the award-winning Napa Rose, especially the service. The talented team is quick to make sure you’re taken care of as you indulge in the royal feast and meet your favorite characters along the way.
2 The Food
Executive chef Vincent Cachot and executive pastry chef Jorge Sotelo have created an awesome themed menu. Service begins with a three-tier tower of goodies including small bites such as beignets, banana-Nutella wraps, open-face sandwiches, and mini lobster rolls. Then it’s on to the buffet to load up on chicken and waffles, berries, sausage, braised short ribs, and more. Finally, indulge in an array of desserts such as cake pops, raspberry tarts, and purple seashell macarons.
3 The Drinks
Don’t overlook the selection of fun cocktails and mocktails. Our favorite was the magical, hue-shifting Colors of the Wind mocktail with lemon juice, orange juice, passionfruit juice, pineapple juice, ginger beer, and apple cider.
4 The Princesses
You’ll have different characters stopping by your table as you go through the courses, but there’s more fun to be had after breakfast. You’ll be led out to the patio to meet a few more princesses who have prepared short stories and activities for the little ones.
5 The Memories
End your visit with the included private portrait session and special keepsakes to remember your adventures. There’s no need to leave in a hurry—five hours of valet parking are included in the package.
