Every Saturday and Sunday Roger’s Gardens schedules a fantastic line up of informative seminars and events that cater to the avid gardener, decorator and art enthusiasts.

Cooking with Chef Mead Series | Cooking with “Winter” Squash from Farmhouse
Saturday, September 24 at 9 AM
Learn from Chef Rich Mead, owner and chef of Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens, as he shares some squash recipes. They may be called winter squash but they
are available in late summer through the winter season. Soups, side dishes or a vegetarian entrée, there are so many options to create using acorn, butternut
or spaghetti squash. Be inspired by the fresh seasonal ingredient combinations he uses to create these delectable dishes. Field-to-fork food from Farmhouse
to your house. Opening September 1.

My Edible Garden Series | What to do in October with Steve Hampson
Saturday, October 1 at 9 AM
Well-known horticulturist, Steve Hampson, will discuss gardening edibles including vegetables, herbs, fruits, berries and more. Emphasis this month will be
on planting potatoes and cool-season vegetables from seeds versus starting from transplants. He will lead an interactive discussion about what, where and
when to plant, prune, feed and harvest. Bring your questions as well as your own tips and tricks, as audience participation is encouraged.

Christmas Boutique Opening | Wonderland
Friday, October 7 from 9 AM – 7 PM
Wander into our Winter Wonderland, where icicles twinkle and the magic of Christmas sparkles. A pale palette of snowy silvers and whites transport you
into an ice-palace where twenty themed Christmas trees are adorned with glass ornaments. Fill your stockings to the brim with an array of festive treasures

Planting Fall Color with Marty Bailen & Aaron Potter
Sunday, October 16 at 10 AM
Join Landscape Maintenance Manager and seasonal color expert, Marty Bailen, and Assistant Nursery Buyer, Aaron Potter, as they present their favorite
seasonal plants and color combinations for fall. They will also review soil preparation, plant sizing and the appropriate time of the year to plant to ensure
a beautiful garden.

Succulent Pumpkin Workshop with Onita Castillo & Ria Ultsch
Saturday, October 15 at 10 AM & 2 PM
Join our Original Designs team, Onita Castillo and Ria Ultsch, as they guide you on how to create your very own fabulous succulent pumpkin centerpiece
that (if properly cared for) will last for months. Just bring your creativity and we will take care of the rest. Workshop fee is $89.99 per arrangement, includes
all materials, step-by-step instructions, and details on how to care, handle and artistically prune your masterpiece as the succulents begin to grow. For an
additional fee, supplementary supplies or plant materials are available. Unfortunately, due to material costs, cancellations after October 7th cannot be

Memento Box Workshop with Susan Munroe

Create your own Memento Box to hold something you cherish. Join Collectibles Specialist, Susan Munroe, as she shows you how to create one of these
unique boxes with Halloween theme. Traditionally used to store precious keepsakes and personal treasures, memento boxes can be used to capture a moment
in time, or preserve a special memory or a specific holiday. This is the perfect workshop to share with a friend or family member. Registration fee is $50 per
person and includes a memento box, assorted findings, notions, and instruction. Please bring any personal images or treasures that you would like to use to

Fall Planting – Second Crop with Steve Goto
Saturday, October 29 at 9 AM
To pull or not to pull? That’s always the question gardeners contemplate at the end of the season. The next question is what to plant next? Join expert
horticulturist, Steve Goto, as he provides a fun and informative seminar about what to do with your spring crop, how to rejuvenate your soil for a fall planting
and what to plant for successful fall crop. Steve will also discuss fertilizers, soil amendments, cover crops and watering requirements. If your growing in the
ground or in containers, Steve has all the answers for you.

Children’s Halloween Festival | Costume Parade, Crafts & Activities
Sunday, October 30 at 3 PM
Calling all ghosts & goblins! Share your Halloween spirit and your creativity at our annual Halloween Festival. Bring in your children for some fun,
interactive crafts and activities and everyone’s favorite trick-or-treating costume parade throughout the Gardens for all to enjoy. Don’t forget your camera!
