This contemporary two-story home is walking distance from an elementary school, a middle school recognized as a 2019 California Distinguished School, and a high school. Built in 2017, the house in Huntington Beach’s Lake Park neighborhood features two master suites and three additional bedrooms, each with custom en suites; 6.5 bathrooms; and a shower that’s accessible from the three-car garage for those sandy beach days with the family. Let the sunshine in with three disappearing doors that separate the living room from the courtyard. Enjoy an extra-large eat-at island in the gourmet kitchen that has custom stone counters and stainless-steel appliances, as well as wine storage with glass walls in the adjacent dining room. Wisdom From … A School’s Neighbor
Finding a home near a reputable school …
When we were searching for a home within our price point, one of the first things I did was look at each neighborhood’s school and district reputation for our future kids. I think I placed a fair amount of importance on that because I had such a great experience in the schools I grew up going to in Orange County.
What she didn’t expect …
The number of balls and hula hoops that end up in our backyard! It’s always fun throwing them back and seeing how excited the kids get.
Getting to know the neighbors …
I love how we have been able to meet so many of our neighbors by being outside when they are walking their kids to and from school. We recently got a puppy, and she is always with us out front. It’s really funny how a lot of the kids and parents know her now and will always come up and say hello.
