Two Left Forks Opens Second Location in Irvine

Waygu steak and croquettes

Andersen Hospitality, which owns Two Left Forks in Dana Point, has opened a second restaurant by the same name in Irvine. Unlike the flagship, this substantially larger spot also serves lunch and brunch. A handsome stainless-steel chandelier and a striking painting of a woman at a bar dominate the new space at Quail Hill Shopping Center. Menu highlights include hazelnut-crusted goat cheese croquettes with spicy carrot puree; pan-seared foie gras with white asparagus, pignole cream, and sherry gastrique; and soy-sake Alaskan black cod with peas, forest mushrooms, parsnip puree, and kaffir coconut cream. Executive chef Rob Hines offers six lunch specials, and brunch will offer dishes such as a short rib omelet. A patio with fire pits is an ideal spot for a rosemary bourbon fizz cocktail. Prices range from $5 to $35. Georgia Andersen and son Stefan also own Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach. 6511 Quail Hill Parkway, Irvine, 949-387-6700, twoleftforks.com
