Sips and Bites: Get Elaborate Meal Kits From Project Fifty/100

With supplementary plating photos, video tutorials, and a playlist, elaborate meal kits get even more special at Project Fifty/100. According to chef-owner Jeremy Fox, who is also chef de cuisine at Summit House in Fullerton, the name comes from the notion of “50 percent of the work, 100 percent of the credit.” Prep is
done; you just finish the meal. All components—garnishes, ring molds for plating, direct-to-oven containers—arrive in an insulated tote bag with detailed instructions. Emphasis is on local and on scratch: Crème fraîche, for instance, uses buttermilk from house-made cultured butter. A recent main course: grilled bone-in Rancho Llano Seco pork chop with bacon serrano jam, cornbread pudding, and Black Sheep Farms grilled carrots. It’s a fun, at-home date night. Two courses for two ($70) with charcuterie, dessert, and wine add-ons available. Deliveries Friday through Sunday.
