Hola Adios Coffeeshop
A beautiful La Marzocco espresso machine churns out cappuccinos, cortados, and more at this quirky and bright cafe. Cold brew and single-origin drip coffee are winners, as are pastries baked in-house. Also try the sweet or savory pancake tacos. 120 Virginia Place, Costa Mesa, 949-329-8987, holaadioscoffeeshop.com

With two other locations, both in Honolulu, this marks BlueTree’s first foray onto the mainland. The brand’s owners, Kevin and Steve Aoki (yes, that Steve Aoki) are sons of Benihana founder Rocky Aoki. This franchise location offers BlueTree’s cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls, light bites, and Kona coffee. Signature drinks include a Cloudy Coconut—cold brew with coconut cream foam. 701 S. Weir Canyon Road, Anaheim Hills, 714-363-3693, bluetreejuice.com

Coffee Nature
The popular indie cafe has finally expanded from its first digs in Costa Mesa to a second location in Huntington Beach. The new spot offers a wall of windows, modern Southwestern vibes, breakfast sandwiches, and top-notch drinks including cold brew. 9021 Atlanta Ave., Huntington Beach, 714-465-2035, hb-coffee-nature.square

Nếp Cafe & Brunch
Billing itself as “Elevating traditional Vietnamese coffee & brunch,” this newbie offers everything from uni toast to crab Benedict. But you won’t just find Vietnamese iced coffee on the drinks menu. Try the popular Vietnamese egg coffee (ca phe trung) topped with a sweet foam. 10836 Warner Ave., Fountain Valley, 714-516-8121, toasttab.com/gem-fountain-valley/v3#!/

Stereoscope Coffee Company
A second O.C. location of the L.A.-based specialty roaster opened this year in Newport Beach. Sandwiches, salads, and all-day breakfast bites accompany the espresso drinks and lattes flavored with housemade syrups. Pour-overs and specialty teas are also popular. 100 Bayview Circle, Newport Beach, 949-932-0068, stereoscopecoffee.com

Ziggi’s Coffee
The Colorado-based franchise opened its first location in Orange County this summer. Here you’ll find a full menu of classic coffee drinks, smoothies, and more, including a signature Colorado mocha with hints of coconut and almond. 27525 Puerta Real, Mission Viejo, 949-317-3014, ziggiscoffee.com

Lagu Café
At this tiny Japanese deli specializing in onigiri, organic espresso drinks and coffees can be topped with sea salt foam or even sea salt matcha foam. The matcha sea salt cold brew is already establishing a cult following. 17779 Main St., Irvine, 949-418-7023

Airoma Café
Opened just days ago, this shop sticks out from the crowd. Though it offers boba as an add-on, it’s not your typical milk tea place. Drinks include their take on Vietnamese egg coffee, a mint iced coffee, and a tri-color strawberry matcha latte. 10246 Westminster Ave., Garden Grove, 714-462-6039, airomacafe.com

The Vintage 1979
This adorable dessert, coffee, and tea shop feels like an escape into a sweet and dainty parlor room. Drinks aren’t for coffee purists but are just as cute and colorful as the cakes—think mango macchiatos and red velvet lattes. 10110 Westminster Blvd., Garden Grove, 401-999-9888

Eos Coffee
In a space formerly occupied by a barbershop, Eos offers traditional, quality coffee with few frills. Milk alternatives include oat, almond, soy, hemp, and coconut. Pastries such as cinnamon rolls, slices of gluten-free hummingbird loaf, and bacon and cheddar scones are baked in-house. 1652 Newport Blvd., Costa Mesa, 949-287-6407, eoscoffee.com
