An agricultural landmark and architectural gem, Anaheim’s packing house has been transformed into a European-style food hall. The venue, at 440 S. Anaheim Blvd., offers nearly 20 dining experiences ranging from customized gelato to sushi, as well as a handful of vendors making their first O.C. appearance.

Pop Bar
Among the most popular of these gelato and sorbet bars ($4), conveniently served on a stick, are creamy pistachio, gianduja (chocolate hazelnut), and fresh strawberry. Be extra indulgent and order yours hand dipped in chocolate and nuts.

The Chippy Fish & Grill
Hand-cut cod fillets are battered and fried to perfection at this U.K.-style fish-and-chips joint. Feeling indecisive? Order the No. 16 and get a fish fillet, fried shrimp, calamari rings, and a pile of fries ($9).

The Kroft
At a cafe whose mission is to reinvent comfort food, you really can’t go wrong. On your first visit,
we recommend a fried chicken sandwich with jalapeño slaw ($8.50), washed down with a cucumber-mint lemonade ($3.50).

Wheat & Sons
Emphasizing locally sourced meats and produce, this butcher shop wins us over with an array of select cuts, award-winning charcuterie, rotisserie chicken, and gourmet sandwiches ($9 to $12). 714-603-7860,
