The Alley Tea Shop Offers Free Items Saturday at Irvine Spectrum Grand Opening

The Alley is opening a new tea shop in the Irvine Spectrum and is ringing in the occasion with a grand opening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. This new shop will be the second in Orange County, joining the Fountain Valley location that opened in October.

The Alley is a Taiwan-based chain that specializes in boba tea, milk tea, tea lattes, and other gourmet beverages that are a far cry from that usual bag of Lipton. A recently introduced beverage is the Mango Lulu with coconut milk, a cold concoction that might just remind you of a tea-take on a smoothie.

The Alley boasts that all of its tea beverages are part of a more than 500-day journey that begins with harvesting tea leaves, aging them and infusing flavors, and finally brewing and serving them to you. The tapioca pearls are made from scratch on-site, as is the sugar cane syrup used as a sweetener.

The Alley’s Irvine Spectrum location will be in Suite 507 just outside the movie theater. It sits next to the Frost Gelato Shoppe (I can already taste a fine pairing), and perhaps ironically across from the Starbucks. Then again, what isn’t across from a Starbucks these days?

For the grand opening event, the first 100 guests will get free merchandise, and all day will feature buy one, get one free drinks.

The Alley has more details about the grand opening a link to a free RSVP on its Facebook page: facebook.com/events/180015140029400/
