If you’re shopping at South Coast Plaza this Saturday and are craving Italian with a twist, follow your nose to Casa Barilla.
The restaurant is promoting its new Spaghetti Scallops with Miso Butter by offering samples from its Ape Truck. The tastings will be given out from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the truck, which will be stationed outside the restaurant.
If your taste buds want more, the first 100 diners to order the dish ($14.95) at the restaurant will receive a free wooden Barilla spoon. In addition to the new entrée of al dente pasta and grilled scallops in miso butter sauce, Casa Barilla recently added a gluten-free crust for its pizzas. The Cauliflower Pizza Crust is now part of the permanent menu, and can be had with any pizza for $4.
