A new Spanish restaurant and tapas bar is set to open its first location in Orange County next month. Cafe Sevilla will come to The Triangle in Costa Mesa and bring with it more than just the cuisine of Spain.
The restaurant, which has locations in San Diego and Long Beach, promises to be a vibrant place with live Latin music nightly and Flamenco dinner shows on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s all part of the goal of Spanish-born Rogelio and Janet Huidobro, who opened their first tapas bar in 1987 with the intent of re-creating their native Seville. Nowadays, the restaurant’s Spanish dishes such as paella and wafting Gypsy music have earned it recognition on Food Network and the Travel Channel.
Sevilla’s new location at The Triangle will feature indoor seating and even more al fresco dining between its three patios. Cabanas, fire pits, and heated lounge areas will further beckon diners to slow down and enjoy not just a meal but an experience.
When it arrives next month, Cafe Sevilla will be open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with brunch served on weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant will be in The Triangle, 1870 Harbor Blvd. cafesevilla.com
