As the largest non-profit provider of after-school programs in California, THINK Together helps kids succeed in school and in life by supporting educational excellence and equity for all kids. CEO Randy Barth founded THINK Together in 1997 as a small after-school tutoring program in a Westside Costa Mesa apartment building, located in the heart of a community impacted by gang violence and drug trafficking. The program emerged to provide a safe, quiet place for children to study. Services quickly exceeded the program’s capacity and THINK has since evolved from serving 100 kids, to serving more than 100,000 students across the state currently on more than $60 million in annual revenue. Today, THINK’s programs have expanded into over 400 public schools across California and they partner with schools to include professional development for teachers, leadership development for school administrators and systems work within school districts. “In that original neighborhood we have sent more than 400 kids to college and the first 150 have graduated,” says Barth, who continues to expand THINK programs throughout California. “Our work creates opportunities for kids to discover their passions and reach their full potential through education.”
