No. 13 A Neighborhood Concept Store

Anthill ShopNPlay is more than a neighborhood concept store – it’s a lifestyle. According to founder and owner Elvira, this is a place where all family members can shop, play, have fun and just be together. Step inside Anthill’s magical doors and discover 7,000 square-feet of wonder, including everything from specially chosen, one-of-a-kind kids clothing, toys, books, crafts and baby products to housewares, home décor, furniture, art, stationery, gifts, women’s fashion, men’s accessories, beauty products and more. Every item is selected for its beauty and uniqueness. There’s even a play area for little ones and a Beauty Corner offering makeup application.

“I tossed around the idea of creating a concept store for several years after we moved from Switzerland to the United States,” says Elvira. “Being a busy working mom of three boys and knowing how women love shopping, I thought it would be nice to have a place where you could spend some quality time together and combine activities that you all enjoy.”

Anthill is also home to many weekly events, including Mommy Cocktails on the first Friday of each month for AnthillKidzClub members and a new “make your own T-shirt” area. There’s an expanded Beauty Corner with more makeup to sample, and an expansion project down the block that will offer home décor, tableware and uniquely created farm-to-table gift baskets.

AnthillKidzClub has monthly classes and birthday parties can be organized in your choice of themes.

“I wanted my store to feel like a unique, immersive experience, something you can’t recreate on Internet.”
