The Face of Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)

Kimberly Chavalas Cripe, CHOC’s president and chief executive officer, leads a mighty brigade of defenders of childhood. Under her leadership, everyone at CHOC – from medical providers and researchers to janitorial and administrative staff – is dedicated to keeping kids healthy and preserving the magic of childhood.

With two hospitals and multiple primary and specialty care centers located across four counties, CHOC is always close when families need care. CHOC’s Primary Care Network provides regular well-checks and immunizations, helping ensure kids reach developmental milestones. CHOC’s centers of excellence provide highly specialized treatments for the most serious pediatric illnesses and injuries. Its research and innovation institutes are focused on translating real patient needs into comprehensive treatments so every child can reach their full potential.

The pediatric healthcare system has also partnered with Orange County schools to bring wellness centers to a cross section of school campuses. Through this unique partnership, students navigating an increasingly fast-paced world can now take a moment during the school day to catch their breath and collect their thoughts at their school’s calming “WellSpace.”
