Canadian custom-suit brand Indochino opened its first Orange County location in the fall at Fashion Island. A spacious showroom displays more than 150 fabrics organized
by color, allowing shoppers to see and feel the options. With a lounge-like vibe and mannequins displaying stylish possibilities, Indochino is as inviting as it is affordable—starting at $399 for a custom suit.

“Our customer is truly in control of the design of his suit,” showroom manager Priti Mandalia says. “When he comes into our showroom, we take as many as 40 different measurements specific to his body shape and posture.”

Customers can select from premium fabrics such as Australian wool for a $399 suit ($459 to include a shirt, tie, and pocket square) or upgrade to luxury fabrics such as cashmere and silk-mohair blends for a $449 suit. “Especially in (Newport Beach), men are looking for more staple, classic pieces like navy and charcoal,” she says.

Once the fabric is chosen, the customization process begins with more than 40 options, and in two weeks, the suit will ship free to your home. “We try and make it simple; we don’t want anyone to feel overwhelmed,” Mandalia says. “We let them know what we recommend if it’s their first suit.”

Indochino also hosts wedding parties. “We make it such a fun event for (the groomsmen),” Mandalia says. “We’re happy for them to bring a bottle of whiskey!”
