Lido Marina Village Welcomes Elyse Walker

From time to time, style in Orange County takes a giant leap forward. This summer it came by way of Elyse Walker, who opened her massive second store at Lido Marina Village. Known for her eponymous luxury boutique in Pacific Palisades, Walker had been looking for a second location for years. “When I went to Lido Marina Village, it felt right,” she says. The Newport Beach store carries many of the same designers she stocks in L.A.—Altuzarra, McQueen, Balenciaga, Victoria Beckham—as well as O.C.-specific lines such as French couture designer Alexandre Vauthier. And look for “It”-girl bags from Mansur Gavriel and jewelry from Iosselliani.

Designed by Los Angeles architectural firm Marmol Radziner, the 12,000-square-foot boutique used to be a bank. It boasts mirrored pendant lights, custom chain-mail chandeliers, and an in-store beach shop offering Poupette St Barth’s European, boho-style coverups, minidresses, and gypsy skirts ($200 and up). There’s also a two-chair salon where clients can get a haircut or blowout before a night on the town.

“We want our customers to come and hang out with us,” says Walker, 49. “We want them to feel at home.”
