It’s easy to write off B.Spoke, owned by husband-and-wife team Dave and Kim Welch, as another suite in a business park. But this made-to-measure suit company has a pool table, stocked bar, and even a grooming station. B.Spoke’s fabrics, such as wool and wool blends, are sourced from mills in Italy and England for suits starting at $1,095. “When you get something that fits you really well,
it becomes addicting,” Kim says.
After a conversation about lifestyle and budget, the B.Spoke team will take roughly 40 measurements before bringing out swatch books. The studio offers solid colors, but the team might try to nudge you outside your comfort zone. “We had a client say his wife got jealous because he was getting more compliments than she was,” Kim says. The studio also allows customers to try on a partially made suit to make last-minute adjustments before it’s completed.
This spring, B.Spoke will offer custom suits for women that feature fabric with a four-way stretch, starting at $895. “We’ve had some requests for same-sex weddings, and now
we have a solution,” Dave says. To add a personal touch, photos can be printed on
the jacket lining.
