Ladera Ranch Grooming & Pet Spa
You can book your dog an appointment for a bath, haircut, and nail trim with the gentle, skilled pet groomers, or you can drop in and use one of the dog baths to wash your pooch yourself ($18). The spa also offers bathing and grooming services for cats, as well as professional teeth cleaning for dogs and cats once a month. 1101 Corporate Drive, 949-436-7297

Xclusive Taqueria Moderna
This fast-casual Mexican restaurant opened last year, serving gourmet versions of traditional fare in a small but stylish dining room and patio. The tacos ($4 to $7) feature handmade tortillas filled with anything from pork belly to cauliflower. There’s also shrimp ceviche and empanadas ($10 to $12) and breakfast favorites such as chilaquiles ($10). 1701 Corporate Drive, 949-339-3545

Hala’s Paws
The collars and leashes lining the walls at this boutique are so brightly colored, you can see them from the street. The owner’s mother makes them in dozens of patterns and several sizes, and there’s always a collection for the season or holiday. Bins of toys such as stuffed doughnuts, treats such as pig ears, and a curated selection of pet food fill the shelves. 1101 Corporate Drive, 949-388-3223

Lola’s Cafe
Crowds visit this spot for the avocado toast ($13) and egg sandwiches ($10) at breakfast and the salads and flatbreads—such as the Rustico with caramelized onions, goat cheese, figs, and arugula ($12.50)—at lunch. If you arrive after the kitchen closes at 2:30 p.m., don’t worry: You can still enjoy coffee and grab-and-go items until 5 p.m. (4 p.m. on Sunday). 1101 Corporate Drive, 949-364-8537
