Modern Orange County is a patchwork of forgotten places, of boomtowns gone bust and farm towns swallowed by cities. Traces of them still exist—a street sign here, a stray post office or church name there—but they’re unexplained glimpses of a past unceremoniously obliterated by the present. We dug into the Orange County Archives, to rediscover places that once were.
