What are your favorite spots to shop and eat in Orange County?
One of my favorite jewelry stores is Gorjana at the Irvine Spectrum, and they’re based in Laguna Beach so I love supporting their brand! There are so many good eating spots in O.C., I can’t pick my favorite. But my go-to places are Cali Tacos in Santa Ana, Gam Ja Tang House in Garden Grove, Honda Ya in Tustin, and The Boiling Crab in Garden Grove.
Are there any special spots in O.C. that you hold close?
One thing that my boyfriend and I love to do is going on picnics. So starting from when we were younger, we would go on small picnic trips to the beach (my favorites are Victoria Beach and Treasure Island) and just have our lunch there. Another place we loved going to was Soka University! It’s super random but since it was right by our house, we went there a lot to lay our blankets and have a quick picnic date. Soka University is definitely underrated—it’s beautiful and so peaceful, definitely one of our favorite places in O.C.
What was it like growing up here?
My sisters and I love the beach so we used to go there all the time, all year round, lay in the sun, picnic, and watch the sunset. My favorite part about going to the beach is getting gelatos at Gelato Paradiso in Laguna Beach, especially during the nighttime when it’s less crowded. I just love that O.C. is a safe place where you can play with your neighborhood friends and I am blessed to grow up in a community I love to call home.
