You can enjoy the views and ocean air while the kids frolic at these scenic spots.

ALISO BEACH PARK This Laguna Beach playground is for all ages. With picnic tables, a snack shack, and onsite parking, it’s perfect for a quick stop at sunset. But parking is scarce in summer.

MAIN BEACH Be savvy and save this Laguna Beach playground for the off-season, before June 10 or after Labor Day, so you’ll have time and space to enjoy the tide-pool themes without stressing about crowds and parking.

MARINA PARK Visitors can ride down the tube slide from the lighthouse deck at this new Newport Beach playground. It fronts the bay and has monkey bars, rope bridges, and a seaside theme. Parking is $1.75 per hour at the pay station.

NEWPORT ELEMENTARY The playground across the strand from this school offers swings, things to spin on, a jungle gym, and slides of all sizes. Plus, great people-watching and easy sunset viewing.

SEAL BEACH The tot lot at the base of the Seal Beach Pier is fenced in, so little ones can have fun and their parents can relax, knowing their preschoolers can only go so far.
