Villa Park High School graduate Roy Choi’s coming to Diamond Jamboree—and, he’s bringing Kogi. The modern restaurant magnate’s “L.A. Son” (Anthony Bourdain/Ecco, $30) autobiography is out, and, in a synergy of such perfection it risks rippling the fabric of the universe, the O.C. stop on his book tour is the wildly popular Irvine dining destination. Maybe some of you heeded my tweet of a few weeks ago and are already in line. Previously-purchased books are welcome at the signing, always a nice thing. I found the chapters covering Choi’s formative teenage years in Villa Park absolutely riveting, and I love that he often adds #OCSon to his own tweets, along with #LASon. We’re happy to have him.
