O.C. Nutritionist and Chef Team Up to Share ‘The Gluten-Free Edge’

If you don’t already know at least one person eating gluten-free (or GF, as adherents call it), I predict: You will, and soon. Difficult to digest for those who are diagnosed gluten-intolerant, and injurious to people with celiac disease, gluten is the protein component of wheat, barley, and rye.

Two Laguna Beach residents, nutritionist Gini Warner, whose 20-year career includes 15 in Orange County, and personal chef Ross Harris, who cooked in O.C. restaurants for more than 20 years, including the erstwhile Le Diplomat in Mission Viejo, have collaborated on “The Gluten-Free Edge: Get Skinny the Gluten-Free Way” (Adams Media, 2011). With an introduction outlining Warner’s own health improvements after going gluten-free, and 200 recipes crafted by Harris, the book is an Orange County contribution to the fast-growing gluten-free publishing category.

Keep up with the authors’ appearances on Warner’s website, healthbygini.com.
