Whether you’re into Dodger blue or an Angels fan rooting for them to choke, there’s still plenty of fun to be had going out, grabbing a couple beers, and watching the game among die-hard fans. Here are my picks for places that have AC, the game on, and delicious beer.
Brewpubs:
Taps Fish House & Brewery,Brea, and Irvine. Quite honestly, with the selection of sessionable beers, happy hour, oysters, etc., Taps is easily my choice for where to land for the game. Reservations suggested.
Tustin Brewing Co. is ready for a big crowd and will have its regular Taco Tuesday event during game one, and a pizza-pitcher night for game two.
Breweries:
Phantom Ales Anaheim will offer game specials and make classic Dodger Dogs and $1.50 tacos for Taco Tuesday. Word is that anyone wearing Dodger apparel will get $5 dollar beers and ciders two hours before and during the games. The brewery will also take reservations for 10 or more.
Stereo Brewing: “Sports, yes! We will have them!”
Unsung Brewing Anaheim will offer $5 pours of certain beers.
Left Coast San Clemente will show the games with sound. No reservations required as they have plenty of space.
Towne Park Anaheim will offer drink specials. Big groups can reserve an event space as well.
Bottle Logic Anaheim. Game and AC in the front, steamy party in the back.
Legends Anaheim Come for the cushy chairs. No reservations required.
Swamp cooler at your own risk:
Barley Forge will show the games on both its large projected screen and the bar TV. The “Big Ass Fan” will be spinning and the swamp cooler will be on high. Game sound depends on the consensus.Plus, this place has incredible food.
Backstreet in Anaheimwill play the game with sound, and it has a new swamp cooler. However, its Irvine tasting room (next to Lamppost Pizza) will have game sound, food, and beer specials from 3:30 to 6:30. Reservations suggested.
