Summer is here! What better way to cool off while still enjoying these warm days and evenings than outside with a cold beer? Aside from some possible skunking issues (see post here about how that happens!), it is a very relaxing experience. Unless noted otherwise, these beer gardens are pet-friendly and child-friendly (as most breweries are good with families in general!). One item of note is with new breweries opening and some currently expanding, this list may have change or increase next year. So stay tuned for that!

Here are 10 of my favorite brewery beer gardens (patios) to sip some suds.

Tustin Brewing Company (Tustin)
Tustin Brewing provides a spacious covered patio with some greenery around the perimeter. Personally, this is my favorite place to hangout and take down pint after pint of their perfect American pale or underrated Old Town IPA on summer evenings.
Bonus feature: Feel free to enjoy a cigar with your beer out on this patio.

Bruery Terreux (Anaheim)
This outdoor patio is spacious and has some misters for those very hot days! Imagine relishing a tangy Frucht variant with the sunset behind you and some cool water fogging up your sunglasses during a 95-degree afternoon.

TAPS Brewery and Barrel Room (Tustin)
This outdoor space is indulging. There are some patio games and lots of space to have a seat for casual conversation. Perfect setting for the various award-winning beers from TAPS.

Bootlegger’s Brewery (Fullerton)
About twice the size of the indoor space, Bootlegger’s Fullerton has an enormous outdoor beer garden with games and plenty of seating for your friends or to make new ones over beer.

RIIP Beer Company (Huntington Beach)
How about an ocean breeze? RIIP is off PCH, and you are bound to catch some sea air while enjoying one of there amazing beers.

Gunwhale Coastal Ales (Costa Mesa)
It may not be the biggest on this list, but it makes up for it with style. True to the theme of the branding, the patio is rustic yet pleasing, especially while enjoying a Shellmaker.

GameCraft Brewing (Laguna Hills)
Living up to their namesake, GameCraft’s outdoor area has plenty of patio games. Cool down with a crisp Early Access or current version of Smash while having some fun.

Backstreet Brewing (Anaheim)
Not too far from Angel Stadium, Backstreet’s spacious patio provides a pleasant alternative to the giant (and usually overcrowded) massive brewery across the street from the stadium. Pleasurable beers out on their patio gives you a good reason to pre-game there.

Unsung Brewing Company (Anaheim)
Unsung’s tasting room in Anaheim is a technically a shared space with a couple of other units, but it’s very swank and comfortable. Grab your pint of Lumino or Buzzman and enjoy the evening.

Salty Bear Brewing (Costa Mesa)
A brand-new brewery with a lovely beer garden! Impressive outdoorsy decor and a patio with plenty of nature vibes. Enjoy a cold one out here during our scorching summer.
