Thousands of people know the Anaheim Family YMCA, but there’s so much more to our Y than one might think. We’re much more than a place; we’re a cause, dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Every day, the Anaheim Family YMCA takes on important challenges that shape the future of youth and our community— challenges like closing the academic achievement gap, preventing childhood obesity, and building lifelong values. Together, we strengthen the foundations of community.
The Y’s impact can be seen in the lives they change every day. In the area of Youth Development, the Anaheim Family YMCA nurtures the potential of youth and teens through early learning, after-school, swim, sports, camp and leadership programs. In the area of Healthy Living, the Anaheim Family YMCA teaches fitness and nutrition, addresses hunger by providing thousands of health support each day, and works with partners making healthy living easier for residents. And through Social Responsibility, the Anaheim Family YMCA promotes a lifelong habit of giving back, supporting our neighbors and getting involved in cause driven service.
The Anaheim Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1911. Through involvement at the Y, people in our communities will be spiritually, mentally and physically healthy. Our youth feel safe and empowered to lead significant lives. All relationships are nurtured, and people feel connected to one another and responsible in building a sense of community for all.
The Anaheim Family YMCA impacts over 7,000 youth each day throughout Anaheim, Cypress, Stanton, and La Palma. We focus on the whole family through a variety of programs that foster positive connections, promote healthy living, keep kids safe, and expand learning.
