“Sideways” Pinot Exclusive

“Sideways” Writer Rex Pickett has released his first pinot noir, the 2011 Ne Plus Ultra Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, produced from grapes grown at Twelve Oaks Estate Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of Oregon. Two years ago, the GrapeRadio crew devoted a show to Pickett—a discussion about the book and movie versions of “Sideways”—click here for that show.

Pickett is working on a third novel in the “Sideways” series, to be set in Chile. “Sideways The Play,” which had a successful run at the Ruskin Group Theater in Santa Monica last year, will open at the La Jolla Playhouse in mid-July for a five-week run under the direction of Tony-award winning director Des McAnuff ("Jersey Boys"). You can find Pickett’s pinot noir exclusively at Quigley Fine Wines in Oceanside (quigleyfinewines.com), for $45.
