5 Things Transplanted Beachcombers Need to Know to Make It in Orange County

To complement her recently-published essay My Orange County: My Heart Transplant, new resident Lyssa Myska Allen reveals her 5 need-to-know tips:

  1. What time sunset is. Watching it is probably part of why you moved here.
  2. Taco Tuesday. Everyone really does do it.
  3. South Coast Plaza is comprised of two freestanding buildings on opposite sides of the road, so park accordingly.
  4. LAX is never worth it.
  5. Sand builds up, sweep daily; rust adds up, oil your bike chain.
