New Home Shopping Obsession: Cisco Home

All right, it’s official: Cisco Home has opened its doors in Costa Mesa and I am in love.

Based in L.A. and finally arriving here in Orange County, Cisco Home is settling in perfectly at South Coast Collection, with the opening of designer and furniture-maker Cisco Pinedo’s seventh store.

The 8,000-square-foot space feels less like a shop and more like walking into lots of perfectly curated rooms. The lines of the sustainably made furniture are clean, and the silhouettes are modern, with a strong focus on repurposed materials. It’s difficult to leave this comfortable showroom without feeling inspired by the one-of-a-kind accent pieces, furniture, accessories, and lighting. It’s the kind of place where you can’t help but walk through multiple times, then notice something new with each tour—like the skeleton airplane hanging from the ceiling, or the racing shell transformed into a chandelier.

It’s hard to miss the carousel, though. Smack in the center stands a fully functioning 18th century carousel that alone is worth a visit. These whimsy pieces combined with the brand’s new Mid-Century collection and already established California Casual collection make Cisco Home an absolute novelty among Orange County décor shops.
