The Future of Digital Journalism
With the O.C. *Register* making national headlines and the stalwart L.A. *Times* squarely in the Register's sights, Orange County has become the center of the debate over the future of journalism. On Wednesday, the same day the print-first Los Angeles Register launches, Chapman University hosts a panel called “The Future of Journalism in the Digital Age,” moderated by Orange Coast Editor-in-Chief Martin J. Smith. Joining editors from the Register and the Times are representatives of a digital-first publication, public radio, The New York Times, the Washington Post, and USA Today. The event is free and open to the public. One late line-up change: Jimmy Orr, the Times' managing editor for digital, will replace Times editor Davan Maharaj on the panel.
7pm, Argyros Forum 208, on Chapman University Campus
