Weenie roasts and smushing s’mores do not gourmet cooking experiences make—but then, that’s the old version of summer camp. This summer, future chefs can hone their chops with a Surfas Culinary District advanced cooking camp. With a variety of two-day camps broken into age groups, kids can learn everything profiteroles to pistachio pistou, Gougeres to gratin. Teens cook for three hours a day; younger children, two. Not a roasting stick in sight.
